States of raw emotion are catalysts for growth.
To experience quick and sharp stabs or a nurturing warm embrace, albeit at opposite ends of the emotional spectrum, illicit the same raw and visceral experience which can only be felt in the physical form.
Working with light and sound, I always feel the physicality of their experience. Life is physical in every way, the touch, the taste, and the feel. Emotional states are meant to be felt, not suppressed.
Rarely pleasant, these physical states of emotion can lift us to greater states of ourselves. We grow from each experience, but we have to go through it.
