Hidden Gems

You will find gold where you least expect it, as the old adage goes, I have found you don’t need to stray far from home either.

If you go searching for something however, you may just not find it. A lot could be left to chance. I am currently looking for an old hard drive which I would love to get my hands on, but no mater how many times I turn my house upside down it hasn’t surfaced yet.

One of my favorite pastimes is to grab my camera and walk through places unknown to me, mostly suburban streets. When you’re extremely alert and focused you will find things appearing before you that you were never looking for, that’s when the magic happens.

If you’re having a hard time and all you see around you is familiar and uneventful, just escape for the day. Take a bus, a train, grab a book or a camera, or a something and record what you see, or hear, or feel. Become the journalist of your own life.

Open your eyes to everything, observe what’s around you and you will see things you have never seen before.

You can become blind by seeing each day as a similar one. Each day is a different one, each day brings a miracle of its own. It’s just a matter of paying attention to this miracle.
